Effective January 20, 2026, all negotiable instruments for obligations to the Judiciary (checks, money orders, etc.) must be made payable to “Clerk, U.S. District Court.”  Pursuant to the policies of the U.S. Judicial Conference, the Clerk’s office may not accept a negotiable instrument made payable by name to an individual court officer or other judiciary personnel.
